Title: Firmware upgrade question
Post by: raju_alluri on January 29, 2009, 07:45:39 PM

Hello

We have a Terastation model HS-DHTGL/R5 with 1.10 firmware. CIFS filesystem has some data on it.

When we downloaded the firmware upgrade, the file name is  hs-dhtgl-up_214_102.

I have a few questions.

a. Would we have continued warranty after we do the firmware upgrade?

b. Would this upgrade allow us to have NFS on the box?

c. Will the data on CIFS be preserved after the upgrade?

Thanks a lot.

Regards,

- Raju

Updating with the firmware for your correct region and model will not affect your warranty.

NFS support is not included in the Terastation Live.

The data partition on the RAID will be untouched, however, we always recommend you have backups.
