Title: Your CloudStation device is offline.
Post by: pepijnnichting on August 10, 2012, 02:21:16 AM

i received my cs-wx cloudstation 4tb duo today and everything locally is running ok but wen i try to access http://cloudstation.pogoplug.com site i get:

Your Cloudstor device is offline.

To get started, please make sure that your device is connected to the power strip and the power light on the front of your CloudStor is solid blue and also make sure you are connected to the network and the Info/Error light on the front of your CloudStor is not flashing amber.

no weird blinking lights, just the steady blue power light.

i tried reboot and reset but to no avail

going to http://cloudstation.pogoplug.com/ or http://cloudstor.pogoplug.com/ gives me more or less the same message " offline "

when i go to my local cloudstation page (http://192.168.0.105/v2/ui/settings.html) it shows me the following information:

Model Name: CS-WX

Firmware Version: 1.11 build 2.28

Automatic Firmware Updates: Enabled

Date: 08/08/2012 23:13:46

Time Zone: (UTC+01:00) Amsterdam, Berlin, Bern, Rome, Stockholm, Vienna

Email Notifications: Disabled

Fan Status: Normal

im running on a mac (osx 10.8) and via finder i see the disks, so no problem there.....

only the stupid pogo stuff, and the reson i bought this this is that i wanted to acces files on a nas from my ipad

maybe a problem with the firmware? but how do i update it, its setup for automatic.....

i realy need anwsers soon, otherwise i cant send it back anymore.....

So people from Buffalo, what can i do?

concluding, the nass also has a problem with the autoupdate fucntion.

i downloaded the firmware updater here( http://www.buffalo-technology.com/en/download.html

but still nog connections to pogoplug.com.....

This product is a big joke!  I am not even getting a  RMA from buffalo after 3 confirmations. I provided my email address 3 times andd also provided an alternate one.. I am going to return it back to the vendor I purchased from.

It is showing as discontinued on most online retailers website.

I gave up after two frustrating weeks and lot of wasted time. Better luck with some of the more expensive products in the market. You got what you paid for....
