Title: LC-CHL issue with shares folder restricton
Post by: farfadet06 on January 25, 2009, 08:31:07 AM

Hello,

I have issue wuth shared folders.

When I apply no restriction, LC-CHL allows me to see:modify directory content.

When I add permission, for example "admin" for R/W, under explorer; when I click on the directory, login box is called.. I fill it with admin+password but I have a vista message "impossible to access to the directory" because of issue with restriction

What did I missed ?

regards

Create a user on the linkstation with the same username/password as you login to windows with.

EG if you login to windows with:

Username: test

Password: testpassword

Create a user on linkstation with same details...allow that user read or read/write access on the share you want to use.

Tis a windows limitation apparently, but it worked for me...
