Title: How well does LS Live work with PS3
Post by: slewis on January 23, 2009, 09:50:58 AM

I am just starting to look into buying a network storage device.  My needs are pretty simple.  I have photos and music I would like to share between my PCs and gaming consoles.  Specifically, I would like to know how well the Linkstation Live works serving to a PS3.  I have searched online, but only found somewhat dated comments expressing some difficulties with this.

Thanks in advance for your comments.

Since no else has gotten to it, I will answer my own question!  After spending some more time in the forums, I felt confortable enough to purchase a Live LS-CHL unit from my local retailer.  A few hours later I had the unit on my network with updated firmware (1.06) and the latest Navigator software (2.11) on my laptop.  I moved all of my image files from my desktop PC to the LinkStation.  Then it was pretty easy to get my PS3 and Xbox 360 to see the drive.  The PS3 (and the Xbox) looks to be picking up all of my picture folders and their contents.  I have much more to learn, but so far it is working great!
