: Is there a better Link Station GUI available?
: Ron November 17, 2008, 11:03:54 AM

Can link theater display Movie Manager software? I have hundreds of movies stored on the network and it is difficult to browse the movies using Link Theater.  I want to be able to sort the movies by genra, actor etc... and to see the movie cover.

There are several software programs that do this but if I have to use a PC connected to my TV to use a movie manager then why do I need the Link Theater? I could just use the PC to stream videos to the TV.

Thank you for your help

You can not install software on the Link Theater, this device is to browse your network and stream content to you TV from anywhere on network.

I also have Movies stored on my PC and Server, and the way I manage them is by naming Folders and HDD's.  The Folder where the Movie is stored has the Movie Name, then I store these Folders in Sub-Folders with Category Names.  The HDD's are named by the year.  This seems to work pretty good and you can maneuver the Link Theater Software fairly easy.
