My linkstation has stopped communicating with my network. I cannot ping, use web access, see with NasNavi, etc. I cannot see it using my Ubuntu 8.10, Fedora 11, Windows Vista (32-bit), or Windows Vista Business (32-bit) machines. I have tried downloading the firmware update (HS-DHGL_211_101b.zip) and the TFTP Boot Recovery and running in Windows. I followed the directions for both found in other threads (assign 192.168.11.1 address, turn off firewall, antivirus, boot to EM mode, etc.) and still cannot see the NAS. None of the tools report that the drive even exists. The green light is solid for power and link/act. The drive routinely has activity. I have tried hooking it directly to the PC and through my router.
If I remove the drive from the case and use a usb caddy I can still mount three different partitions in Linux. All my data is still OK and I have backed it up.
Any suggestions? I have read several other posts, but in most cases they can at least ping the box. When I ping the assigned address (192.168.1.251) I get no response.
Thanks in advance.
