ts3410dn unresponsive
« on: September 20, 2022, 10:36:32 AM »
I have a TeraStation NAS box by Buffalo Technologies.  It sits on my network with a static IP address.  When I map to the drive, I can access it for a while before it becomes unavailable with the following error message:

Windows cannot access

\\192.168.16.213\PAMDSS_Data_Drive is not accessible.

I have to do a hard shutdown and restart the NAS to access the map drive or Dashboard via the web browser.

Firmware Version: 5.34-0.06

I'd recommend contacting tech support, they can take a look at the logs and probably uncover what's happening.

I've been experiencing the same issue with TS5410R units after upgrading to firmware version 5.16-0.18.  In my case, the TS5410R is configured as an iSCSI volume for harden Veeam repositories.  Basically the appliance just stops responding to everything (including pings), and we have to have the end user power cycle the units with the power button or by pulling the power cable as they completely unresponsive.  I see firmware 5.34 is available now, but based on the release notes, I'm not confident that will fix anything.
