Hmm. I have the Linkstation Pro Duo updated to firmware 1.64. Everything really works well. I am running RAID 1. In any event, the unit does not grab an IP address from my Netgear router. It stays with the 169. blah blah. I did not install the unit using the CD. I just went to the web interface to do all my configuring. So, I went with fixed IP addressing and gave it an address consistent with my current subnet on my home router. Now, all works well, but for some reason when looking on the router configuration pages, it does not detect the fixed IP address, and still shows the unit at the 169. bla bla address. Despite this all works well, and I reach the unit with the fixed IP address I gave it. Even web access works. Any idea what the problem is here?
