Mini Station 250GB, recently purchased

Since yesterday I started my backup, today my laptop is frozen.  Is it OK for me to reboot my laptop?  I have Windows Vista OS.  It has taken 17 hours until now is this normal for backup?

Can you tell me what firmware version your NAS is running per our forum guidelines and which backup software you're using?
