HD-CELU2 and Linux?
« on: September 16, 2009, 01:58:00 AM »

Hi,

Just bought a HD-CELU2 and already set up everything. When I tried to access to folder from Linux using smb:// , everything went well but I try to paste anything inside, it always give me error "No space left on the device" which is impossible since I just opened it 15 mins ago.

I tried copying files from Windows XP and it works. I wonder what went wrong.

Please help.

Thanks.

What file system is it running (still the default fat 32)?  How large is the file you tried to copy?

Which linux are you using?

It should work on linux, but this is not supported.  I will help you as much as I can

Hi Sir,

Yes it is still the default FAT32 and the filesize is only 10 MB.

I'm using OpenSuse 11.1.

I already try to re-formatted the Buffalo disk but no use.

Thanks

Once you reformatted the device are you still trying to connect via lan?  Or are you attempting to use the device in USB mode?

How are you connecting to the samba share? I'm not familiar with Suse, so try to keep your description basic :)

Hmm... strange.. I tried it with CentOS 5.2 and it worked..

I guess there is something wrong with my Samba configuration..

In my Opensuse 11.1, I could create and delete folder. But whenever I tried to copy some files, it will say no space left on device and if I click the details, it tells me "Permission Denied"..

How could I've been denied if I could create and delete the folder there.

Anyway, to access samba, usually I type "smb://192.168.1.x in the Nautilus address bar.

Thanks anyway, I'll try looking my smb config first.

:D
