WZR-D1800H Jumbo Frames
« on: October 30, 2012, 01:30:39 PM »

I am using one of these WZR-D1800H in a lab environment with several VMWare ESXi servers as a test bed for "simple" Small Business deployment.  I know the chipset in this router for the 4 ethernet port support Jumbo Frames.  However I am not sure it's automatically detect the frames size.  And obviously there isn't an "option" to turn it on like the 2nd router we are using(different manufacture).

I have tested that I can ping large packets "across" from two different hosts with no problem(both host with Jumbo Frame enabled @ 9000).  However, when ping at the WZR-D1800H directly (web interface address) the large packets drops.

Any information would be greatful

i'd like to know as well.

i've enabled jumbo frames on my laptop and the nas

and i'm looking for it on the WZR-D1800H but can't find anything.

i'd very much like to increase the speed of the usb 2.0 port on this thing, its only going at 3-6MB/s copying files to and from it but that's a thing for another thread.
