Thanks for this but did not work
As for the user friendly firmware this is not an option for me as the primary reason that I bought this router is because of the DDWRT feature
I found a temporary workaround
1. login into telnet/SSH to your router
2. stop smbd & nmbd service
3. edit the smbd.conf file & remove the "max protocol = SMB2" line
4. start the NMBD & SMBD service again
Caveat to this is that everytime you restart your router it goes back to the regular config and you have to do the steps again, I am not exactly sure on what is wrong with the router's new version but i have been using the SMB2 option on my other SAMBA server's & they work particularly fine.
AND PLEASE BUFFALO... FIX THIS ISSUE ASAP!!!!!!!
