Hi,
I have an annoying problem: Buffalo Airstation G300H keeps stopping connection and asking for root password on WLAN use. If I insert password then the browser goes to Buffalo setup screen and wants to start configuring internet settings. Well, I will not do that because I have configured the DSL connection numerous times, I just simply go to the main page of Buffalo setup and usually after this the connection is fine. It may take only a few minutes when this root username and password are asked again. I have tried upgrading the firmware, resetting ang creating all settings from the scratch. I use WEP64 encryption, no other security what so ever.
This happens on laptops but not on mobile devices.
Any ideas what could be causing this?
Exact model and Firmware: WBMR-HP-G300H Ver.1.79 (R2.01/B1.00)
EDIT: I have to add, that I have another Airstation (G300N in OFF-mode) in one lan port of the 300H for another wlan. Now it seems that both of Airstations try to use same ip (192.168.11.1) for their base address. Looks like that when I turn of this G300N, the wlan of the primary router starts behaving normally.
