TeraStation PRO Trashbox Folder mysteriously adding files that haven't been deleted...

Hi, at work we're using a TeraStation PRO.

 

We've been using it for about 4/5 years. There's always been this trashbox folder, the curious thing is that this trashbox folder contains work which hasn't been deleted. For example, in our main folder theres a job which I worked on 2 hours ago, it's all fine, it hasn't gone missing or anything, BUT it's also inside this trashbox folder, I haven't deleted anything from this folder but it seems to appear in the trashbox? Very curious about this as it seems to just duplicate all our work, our worry is that memory is being used up? Plus various folders in trashbox have copies of files, it seems to auto generate these copies with 'COPY' added to the start of the filename, it's all just very strange...

It could be that the software you are using to create/modify your files is creating tempory files when editing your files and once you have saved your files the tempory files are then deleted and moved into the trashbox. If you are that worried about space, you could always disable the trashbox.
