WHR-G125 help. how do I set password so can use wireless for kindle/ phone/ printer etc

Hi

I have been trying for 4 hours to work out how to set a password so I can use other devices with my airstation. I've managed to disconnect my computer from the internet several times. Now the SSID is showing on my devices, but the name that shows on my computer is different. Computer is Dell running on Vista.  I have authentication type WAP-PSK and encryption type AES, whatever that means. Am on the verge of chucking it out the window and going and buying something else but haven't only cos I don't know if anything else will be any easier to set up...

So all othere devices but this one computer can see the correct SSID and connect to the wifi? Seems to me like it would be an issue wtih that one Pc then. How far away is it from the router?
