I am considering the purchase of one of the two products and have two unrelated questions.
First: What is the advantage of the High Performance Architecture in terms of actual performance gain? Is this a real feature or a marketing ploy?
Second: I have read quite a few customer reviews that cited problems with configuring the Link Station Pro Duo for RAID 1 from the default RAID 0. What makes the configuration difficult? Is it poor documentation or is it a firmware issue?
Thanks
1.) it has a more powerful processor compared to units without the high performance architecture
2.) I am actually surprised to hear that. Switching the RAID is rather easy to do. I mean, as easy as clicking two tabs (disk management and RAID setup), selecting the array and clicking "change RAID array".
Thanks for the quick reply.
No, changing the RAID mode certainly doesn't seem difficult at all. So much for the customer reviews!
