LinkStation Quad 4TB question.

Hello All,

 

My partner and I are running off a Linkstation Quad on RAID 5. We deal with graphic design and use primarily QuarkXpress 8 (Mac) . When importing graphics (eps, tiff, etc.) into a Quark page, the drive is VERY sluggish in finding the requested file.

Is the reason it is so sluggish because we are running RAID 5? If so, what RAID should we go with?

The type of raid wouldn't effect performance. It may just be that your importing the graphic into the current file rather then just opening it in it's own file. I'm truthfully not that familiar with Quark.
