I just got an error flashing light of 4 red flashes a pause and the repeat. I tried to power the station of waited a while and powered on.

When I powered back on the power light flashed, the link light came on solid. This lasted a while and then the 4 red error light flashing sequence repeated.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Try holding down the reset button while powering the NAS on to boot it into EM (Emergency Mode). Once the device makes a chime it should power on like normal. The error you describe is related to corrupted firmware. Download the latest firmware (listed below) and re-flash the NAS.
