My Linkstation HS-DH500GL stopped responding - I usually have it plugged into my wireless router, and access through a mapped drive.
I am using a windows Laptop with Windows 7 professional.
I downloaded the NAS Navigator and can see from that the linkstation is in EM mode. It also has an IP address listed of 192.168.11.150.
After a bit of searching around I guessed I needed to run a firmware update...
- I plugged it direct into laptop via network cable
- Disabled firewalls
- Turned off internet for good measure
This came up with the following message...
Could not confirm a response from HS-DHGL-EMC53
please check a network address of both PC and HS-DHGL-EMC53
Please disable the firewall function if it is working on a PC
Updating is aborted
I read I might need a forced update, so followed instructions to update the ini, checked the forced update option and tried again, but got the same message.
Any suggestions?
