LS-XHL and Time Machine... Stop/Start in the first backup
« on: February 06, 2011, 01:24:13 PM »

Mainly Mac user, I purchased yesterday a Linkstation Pro in order to replace an old NAS.

I tried every way to configure the Time Machine, but I noticed always, and whatever is the way to create the share or the .sparsebundle file that the backup starts, stops after few gb (4), restarts an hour later for another few gb, etc.my old NAS is performing the first backup in one go (over 200 gb).

Any idea?

I'm waiting for a solution before installing my other computers (2 pcs win xp, win 7, 1 macbook, 1 linux)

Configuration:

LinkStation Pro LS-XH1.0TL

Firmware 1.40 (downloaded and installed yesterday)

All my computers are in the same subnetwork using the Internet provider router and a D-Link gigabit hub.

In France, Europe..

I just noticed that the direct call of the download page shows v 1.37 ... http://www.buffalotech.com/support/downloads.

But normal browsing leads to v 1.40.. http://www.buffalo-technology.com/support/downloads
