My linkstation didn't booting in proper way
« on: May 05, 2020, 04:55:17 PM »
Hello Gents
I upgraded my drives after copied all data into another storage, i formatted old HDD and i don't know that OS of linkstation is installed on HDD itself, I read many topics over internet to recover os but still not working , if i turn power off linkstation then turn on the led starts blinking in blue, after one minute , the led starts blinking red, Then i pressed function button then the led starts blinking blue to infinity.
in that time when i powered off linkstation it didn't shutdown and still blinking blue.

Anyone facing same issue?
My device is LS-WXL

You need a TFTP  recovery to load the OS onto the new disks.
PM me for TFTP / Boot Images / Recovery files  LSRecovery.exe file.
Having network issues? Drop me an email: info@interwebnetworks.com and we will get it fixed!

I'm not familiar with that utility but using 512 byte blocks... 4340 = 2.12MB, 18867 = 9.21MB.

Looking at my own copy of the firmware for this series:
Code: [Select]
~/LinkStation_FW1.73$ ls -lh *.buffalo
-rw-r--r-- 1 user 9.3M Jun 22  2017 initrd.buffalo
-rw-r--r-- 1 user 2.1M Jun 22  2017 uImage-88f5182.buffalo
-rw-r--r-- 1 user 2.6M Jun 22  2017 uImage-lsp.5.x.buffalo

It looks like you might using the wrong kernel. I believe this device uses uImage-lsp.5.x.buffalo which would be larger than what your output suggests.

Thanks a lot, I found my mistake, I didn't extract the proper image.
Many thanks again for your prompt support.
