: Error updating settings
: Mastermind December 29, 2010, 04:40:53 PM

Hello,

On my Linkstation live LS-CHL 500gb, when I try to update the session expiry time, set it to ulimited and click save, I get this message after a couple of seconds:

Error accessing BuffaloNas.com, check internet settings.

But my internet (settings) is fine!

Why do I get this error?

I was just able to set it to unlimited without any problems, are you running the latest firmware (1.37)?  Have you tried resetting the unit through the web interface?  Does web access currently work for you without having the "unlimited" box checked?

Sorry Master,

I have been asking some day people to get it back on our network and/or updated (it's locked up by the time I get in) and either they aren't getting my emails or they have been busier than I thought.  I will bother them via email again tonight and hop on our messager when I wake up this afternoon.  I haven't forgotten about you, I just haven't had the means to test yet.

Okay, no problem!

The effort is greatly appreciated!!

Just to give you an update they still haven't put it on the network for me...  They are usually really good about this, so hopefully it'll be up tomorrow.  I'll keep bothering them.

Still bothering them?

Yes, they still havent got it up for me.  I am going to see if I can have someone in our other office test it for me.  Once again I apologize we're usually more organized than this.

No problem, I appreciate your hard work.

Master,

Recieved this email today:

Attached this drive to our network - was able to modify the setting and save it.   Was unable to reproduce the failure seen by the user...

So it doesn't appear to be a bug.  Since you have tried every other solution I would just contact support and see if they can help walk you through the same troubleshooting steps and/or issue you a replacement.

I have now tried absolutley everything! Still no luck! Goddamn thing~!

What did support say when you called them?

Called them? The number the provided is expensive, and I really do not have the time to type out a decent e-mail right know, which they are probabbly gonna reply to: RESAT UR DEVICE ZOMG!

When I already did that shizz.... plus If I note that I did it they'll probably only halfly read my question and ask me anyway...

I hate e-mail support :(

Ill try it in a couple of days!

Mastermind - what country are you in, and what support (country) number were you calling?
