Get Error Message for Firmware Updates on WZR-HP-G300NH
« on: November 27, 2009, 09:55:24 PM »

What file format is my WZR-HP-G300NH looking for in the firmware update?  Is it the ZIP file or the EXE file?  I can't seem to get the update to work.  Any suggestions - I'm following the firmware update documentation.  Thanks

Here's the error message I get:

Invalid firmware, rebooting!

Estimated time to restart is 80  s. Please Wait...

To continue setup, perform the following procedure.

  1. Close all browser windows.
  2. Confirm that a connection between the computer and the router is established.
  3. Reopen the browser and reconnect using the AirStation Configuration Utility.
Refer to the user manual for more information.

Figured it out - when I unzipped the file and double-clicked on the EXE file, it created a folder on my desktop.  From there I found the file to do the firmware upgrade.

I wished the instructions would have been more specific about what happens when you double clock the file, or at least ask where the resultant extracted files should be saved.
