trouble deleting old files
« on: December 04, 2008, 08:14:45 AM »

hey there,

i am not able to delete some files on my tera stations... empty folders and 0KB files are not responding to anything... i am not even able to show properties or rename them...

the terastation is connected to a windows domain...

there is also a problem with accessing the files... when getting inside a folder it takes up to one minute before it reacts again (this with or without antivirus turned on)...

here copy & pasted from the web interface:

I would force a new or a new copy of the firmware on the unit then set the unit back to factory defaults (you will not lose data, however you will have to reconfigure the AD set up)

You will have to force the firmware if you are going to down grade it,

please follow the directions in the link below.  Also please set the unit back to factory defaults when you are done with the downgrade.  This is done in the web interface and does not cause data loss.

Force Firmware

i just found out that 1.04 is the only firmware that does support ad integration... so downgrading is not an option... after a backup i will try to reset to factory settings and let you know if it did any help
