I was able to connect my LS-CHL to Vista laptop and PS3 without any problems. But my desktop XP is not able to execute the network drive mapping. When trying to map, I'll get the error message: "Failed mapping. Remote default share is missing".
I've tried to map via NASNavigator as well as by explorer "map network drive" with both using IP address and \\device_name\share.
I can access LS-CHL with web user interface from XP.
The product is LS-CH500L with bit-torrent and F/W 1.2
Any ideas?
I have the exact same problem
Please reply to both
Problem solved!
This was not Buffalo problem but the settings in XP. XP Home is using as a default MSHOME for workgroup when as XP Professional uses WORKGROUP for workgroup (like Vista). So if you are using XP Home, you have to change your workgroup name from MSHOME to WORGROUP. At least in my case this helped.
Even not exactly the topic for this forum, but I think that Lipreader and me are not the only ones who were hitting our heads to wall with this topic.
Hi everyone,
I'm still having this issue even thoug I'm using XP pro (SP1) and my Workgroup is set at WORKGROUP.
Are there any other suggestions?
