: Linkstation EZ file MOVE
: BostonMike August 19, 2009, 09:37:14 PM
Recently my linkstation EZ 1TB started to get full. 93%. I bought an additional 500GB external and Moved enough data to almost fill it. That would leave me roughly 500 free GB on my linkstation. The files have been moved (not copied) but my linkstation still shows 93% full. Any ideas?

Go to Maintenance>Initialization>Restore.

JoshC thanks for the info but this did not help. Still says there is only 7% space left.

Boston, When inquiring about a product please be sure to include a model number and firmware version.

Also do you have the trash folders enabled?

I have the LS-CL with the firmware version 1.0.

Also, How do you enable the trash folders? I don't see that anywhere.

The recycle folders would be in the shared folders tab.  Just select your share folder and check the box for recycle folder.

Also the first thing I would do is update the firmware.  1.0 is pretty out of date, 1.07 is the latest.

Ok, the recycle folders were enabled. What does this mean? Is there a way to empty them to gain space?

How do I go about updating firmware?

You can delete the files in the recycle folder and that will free up some space.

To update the firmware just download it from our website and unzip the file.  Then run the LSUpdater and click update.  Make sure all of the firewalls on your computer are disabled and make sure the NASNAVI is closed out completely.

Thankyou for pointing me to the recycle folder! I did not know it was there. That fixed my problem. I will try to update my firmware also. Thanks again!
