AVG Identifies NAS Navigator as Malware
« on: August 05, 2011, 12:28:35 AM »

For some reason my AVG Anti Virus decided this morning that NasNavi.Exe is Malware, disabled it and moved it to the Virus Vault. Anyone any idea why this should be? Has it happened to anyone else? Am I safe to restore it or is there some sort of previously unidentified problem with it?

I went ahead and told AVG to ignore the file and then I did a hard drive search for nasnavi.exe and found only one copy in the correct location which makes me feel more confident that a virus with the same name has not been installed. Just to be sure, I re-installed NASNAVI which hopefully overwrites the questionable file.
