I have been watching the buffalotech "buy it from buffalo" area, assuming that the first sales will appear there, hope i am not wrong? Where are you all watching for the first sales? I currently am using the WZR-AG300NH, (a fine router, but firmware 1.48 not updated for the US).
Colin137,
Could you explain something to me regarding your answer? Why in the world would you advertise a product, WZR-HP-G300H, and shop it around to the media in the US if you do not plan on releasing it here? I do not care if this is a High Powered product or not. The reason I want this router versus the enter level model that you sell right now is the ability to hook up a USB hard drive, the Gigabit switch, and better protection. The WZR-AG300H does not have the USB for the Hard Drive and was nearly $300 and Dual band (not needed)! I clearly want to speed the extra $20 over the basic N router that you currently selling for this features. I had my last N Buffalo router stolen because of stupid contractors and need to replace my crappy FIOS router. I would like to purchase your product, but I need some type of time frame. If Buffalo is not planning on selling this router in the US because of the FCC, they should rip out or turn off the high power feature. If that is not an option, Buffalo should remove the product from their website for the US.
odd, when i talked to sales, they said I should start seeing this product in the USA for sales, around the 1st of March.
1. This is the only product that has Draft-N Wireless
2. This gives you extra distance for wireless computers
3. of course it has the usb
I think like sales said, it will be shipping soon.
Thanks, Estel Hines
Does anyone have the FCC ID for the new WZR-HP-G300NH.
I looked on the FCC site and couldn't find the ID.
Count me as another anticipated customer of WZR-HP-G300NH. Please let us know where and when the product can be purchased.
I just had my router die this week, and this router is a perfect replacement my needs. I'm ready to buy one of these.
I did notice the WZR-HP-G300NH passed Wi-Fi certification on Feb. 9th, just don't see it being listed for sale anywhere yet.
Colin would you be so kind and helpfull to a big fan of Buffalo and post some kind of bone about the WZR-HP-G300NH.
Is it a conspiracy by the networking companies and IEEE to not disrupt the current state of sub-par equipment that is overpriced and being pimped by Buffalo's COMPeTITION. I wont point fingers at the wealth of companies who still think g products and Fe are the only things worth a franklin. yea right.
But please some kind of clue like are these routers sitting on a cart on the side of the road in bangledesh and the poor guy cant figure out why their not his popular item. Cause ill fly there or find the guy on craigslist but come on , I can not find this product for sale anywhere that all these press releases I see speak of.
And i am not interested in the model lite version that is for sale .
No No, where is the WZR-HP-G300NH
where is the WZR-HP-G300NH
where is the WZR-HP-G300NH Please man, I hope that Buffalo is on track with this product and there is not some bug or something. It is a spec wise an awsome product and fair price wise. Im sure some one that doesnt know what their talking about will spout "it isnt dual band" yea well learn how to survey then you might use that.
Thank You,

A Ritalin,Lithium,Adderall,Psilocybin,Mescalin induced ranting while listening to Sean Hannity blasting on the Stereo in my house.kinda person.
Colin , Thanks for responding and tryin your best, I can accept that some things hot items like this just take time to get rolled out.
I definitely will be checking back here hopefully on first word on this product.
Any news on when the wzr-hp-g300nh will start shipping in the US.
Here is the link to Buffalo Techs press release at CES 2009 that announced they would be selling in the US at street price of $99.
http://www.buffalotech.com/press/releases/buffalo-announces-wireless-lineup/
So now there is an owners manual available for download on the product page. However, the device is not available for purchase at the usual suspects...
When oh when???
Well, the WZR-HP-G300NH has a gigabit router. That's kind of the whole point. That and the higher-power, built-in antenna, which really isn't all that necessary unless you have a REALLY big house. :) You'd probably want to have a few extenders if you have that big a house or a ranch in the middle of nowhere.
It also has the USB thing to connect a USB hard drive for easy access to a network drive. Very useful I think.
Seems the WZR-HP-G300NH has been approved fy the FCC on 2009-March-04, useful links and hardware details on DD-WRT page for its little bro WHR-G300N (Link removed by Admin)
from above (about WZR-HP-G300NH )
Atheros AR9001AP-3NG platform, Atheros 9132 SoC AR9132 400MHz Network CPU
Atheros AR9103 single-band 3x3 MIMO 802.11n wireless radio
Realtek 8366 SR "RTL8366SR 89C49S1 G841B" 5+1 Gigabit switch controller
WZR-HP-G300NH application to FCC
How many weeks before an FCC-approved router is released for sale???
WZR-HP-G300NH hardware (Gigabit, Atheros AR9132 + Realtek RTL8366SR) looks very different from WHR-G300N (10/100, Ralink "RT3052F" CPU, integrated Network processor + WLAN controller)
Colin137, any news on release date? how about performance? Thanks! :-)

If you can read Japanese, or have a translator to read it for you, you'll see that the router is available "2009 Early April" in Japan.
When we'll see it, here in the USA, who knows???
Figures------------Always Japan just gotta have it before us. There must really be some greedy sonsof tying up buffalo
and making them jump through hoops so that finally they can sell the product they have in the US.
Greedy ass regulators and bull, by the time buffalo finishes paying off all the freakin dues and bribes there wont be no profit to coup and the ieee will have 802.22 in draft stage......huuaah.
See common sense via the Japanese Business Culture, not in all of products from there but at least this one,
unlike other competitors that are just way over valued sleaze that are like here, lets make inferior crap and call it innovation....:)
As for Buffalo Japan adding more features, ....that would be an act of confidence I say on their part in their product. Well sooner or later it will get here, I gotta lay off the energy drinks, really I read posts chattering up something and I just wanna get the thing now. Its all computers and cellphones fault.
Remember before cellphones, how the heck did you know what to do???

Can the WZR-HP-G300NH be configured as a wireless bridge?
If it can, will it be able to also act as a WDS member?
Hello, everyone. I called Jay Pecheck at Buffalo Sales right here in Austin, TX where I live. I called him on Monday of this week (3/23). He told me, quote: "The WZR-HP-G300NH will be available at the end of March for sale everywhere in the US". I said, "why are people still saying end of April?". He said, "I don't know. It will be available no later than the last day of March". You can find his full contact info at the bottom of this article located at: http://www.globenewswire.com/newsroom/news.html?d=157279
If his info is inaccurate, I would be very disappointed.
*Update*
We have been told that this router may be coming in on the 24th of April. We apologize for the delay and for the conflicting information.
Bochista wrote:

Sorry I missed this post earlier, Bochista. Judging by the manual, there is no WDS (Wireless Distribution System) functionality on the device. It can be configured as a simple Wireless Access Point.
What's with all the conflicting info? On the Buffalo US website it says this:
The advanced firmware includes Buffalo’s AirStation One-Touch Secure System™ (AOSS™), BitTorrent capabilities, WDS for wireless bridging and multiple levels of wireless and wired security.
So can it bridge or not? I thought this is one of the main differences from the WHR-G300N.
Dear Buffalo,
I think one of the best way to regain customer support and trust is by allowing compatibility with 3rd-party firmware developers such as dd-wrt, open-wrt and tomato (which probably won't support it). If Buffalo sends the technician details of the router ahead of time to the developers and is supported on release, then i think it'll be highly supported by the community. Buffalo made a really successful router, WHR-HP-G54, because the support by the 3rd-party firmwares. Just my opinion
Yes. WDS is supported. check the data sheet..
http://www.buffalotech.com/files/products/wzr-hp-g300nh_DS.pdf
As I noted before, I have verified that the mention of WDS for WZR-HP-G300NH was amisprint. At this time, there is no WDS capability on that model.
tmGlobal, thank you for pointing out that the misprint made it to the datasheet as well. We will correct that ASAP.
Nevermind, I seen elsewhere that it does seem to support other external drives. Can you confirm that it has a built-in amplifier like the WHR-HP-G54?
Thanks.
Why no support for NTFS?
Why no support for Wireless Bridging? Or is my understanding wrong that WDS is wireless bridging?
Aveyer,
I will know that when support gets our testing unit soon. Frankly, I can't wait to get my hands on this router either!
johnbom,
Our engineers have not determined NTFS write support in Linux to be stable enough to be suitable for any of our devices. As far as I know, WDS or "Wireless Bridging" hasn't been an option with ANY of our 802.11n-series router models. Keep in mind 802.11n is still in its Draft stage, and so-called Wireless Bridging wasn't even part of the 802.11b/g standards, it was an additional feature from a few different chipset manufacturers. As of right now I know of no 802.11n router that has WDS-like functions.
Folx,
BBWatch has an interesting article (shimizu/25299.html) on the WZR-HP-G300NH router:
http://bb.watch.impress.co.jp/cda/shimizu/25299.html
in Japanese, but many interesting pictures, and screenshots with performance data; automatic translation reads funny but still useful ;)
if direct link is removed by forum moderator, try google
"site:bb.watch.impress.co.jp WZR-HP-G300NH 25299"
(google syntax "site colon bb dot watch dot impress dot co dot jp WZR-HP-G300NH 25299" )
Colin137:
Do you know when the GPL source code for WZR-HP-G300NH build will be available for download under:
http://opensource.buffalo.jp/gpl_wireless.html ?
Can you help ensure bootloader files will be included or you have no input on that?
( myself, waiting to purchase till GPL tarball is up :) )
I wouldn't begin to know about your question to me. I will see if I can find out, though, no promises :)
hey anybody notice since monday a few sites have popped up with part numbers for the wzr-hp-g300nh , were those real, early first ones. anybody have their paws on one.?
huh huh huh, its not gonna sell like the wii but it will sell. And rest easy yall wii haters I know PS3 and 360 are tight in a lot more ways than wii. Lets not get on a tangent on whos console is badder. I just mean that this router is on my hitlist,
ok, ordered mine 4/15/09 from provantage, it is special order, don't have a ship date yet, cost was around 119. for those who are timid, just wait..................wait.........
till the price drops to 82.00 lol
All,
I've downloaded the WZR-HP-G300NH manual and am a bit concerned. The screen shots would seem to indicate that there are a lot of configuration options but the manual doesn't go into them. So, is there a detailed manual available? If not, could you at let tell me if the device has SNMP support.
S,
@
I believe the manual writers didn't want to make it a 30 MB PDF file :)
The help button in the web interface is a good resource: it will go into detail what the configuration options mean.
As of right now, I do not know if the WZR-HP-G300N supports SNMP, but I will try to find out for you.
So did you get it yet anybody buy one of these ?????
where are these things at.
Hello, moderators.
The router is not available on Buffalo site, nor anywhere else as of this morning. Has the tentative date been pushed out again?
Thx in advance.
This morning, I'm seeing stock quantities in our internal stocklist, so this should be shipping within a few days.
We have to do our final examination of the finished product first. Even though we've been through all the development phases of research, hardware, firmware, testing, manual, QSG, etc, it still requires a retail exam before release.
Is this for real!!!!!!????

Thoroughly tested and ready to go? Just a note. Please remove repeated references to WDS before you create more headaches for yourself with upset customers. I'd hate to see your re-entrance into US markets marred by unsatisfied customers. Remember, underpromise and overdeliver. Many people will be mighty upset if they buy this router thinking it supports WDS only to find out that it does not. Not everyone reads these forums.
Thanks.
Thank you - we thought we had fixed that reference. All documentation is correct now, and no orders had been made before the update.
***Note to everyone - this product does not support WDS (wireless bridging between Access Points).
good now linksys, and dlink, netgear, and paperweight brands, after this week we will all see after some people are using and pushing these wzr-hp models to the limits, if there will be some hearty evidence as to whether Buffalo did their homework and created a worthy product or not.
Meaning obviously if there is new thread that can organize issues with this device, please make note of it here so we can get a good following of hits and misses with this model.
Thank You all who are very talented at organizing information on this stuff.
Don't know about the UK release.
The WZR-HP-G300NH has three high power amplifiers, one for each antenna (2 external, 1 internal).
The WZR-HP-G300MH is single band 2.4GHz. To add on the 5GHz radio would increase the cost significantly, as well as requiring a more expensive client card with dual band.
Dual band is not required in the 802.11n spec;802.11n merely gives a range of specifications which includes single band and dual band.
If enough people ask for dual band, it's possible.
We just got our router in the support office, and it's impressive... notable features:
Movie Engine QoS to optimize streaming media.
USB NAS- Supports XFS and FAT32 filesystem. Drives larger than 32GB cannot be formatted FAT32.
USB NAS features: Access Restrictions, Web Access, BitTorrent client.
PPTP VPN Server.
Dynamic DNS (DDNS) support for TZO and DynDns.com DDNS services.
Would you mind posting a screenshot of the QoS page?
Thanks

FYI Buy.com has them on ebay for 103.99 shipped free. If you use Live.com cash back it is currently 8% which gives you 8 bucks and change back. You can also get them directly from buy.com for 103.99 shipped and may or may not be able to use a coupon. Sometimes they email them out from time to time.
I went the ebay route with the live cash back. So far I have received all cashback that I earned but others have reported issues with Live cash back. Excited to get this thing!
Overall, the new router is great. I've been an ownder of the 54G model for a couple years and am familiar with all of the menus, etc. But there are a couple of problems I am experiencing with the new router.
1. When I change a setting, and it says it will restart in XXX seconds, it never does restart. I close my browsers and everything, and the red asterix light just stays on for several minutes until I unplug, plug back in, and then log back into router menu. The setting is changed, but it's a real pain to have to do it this way.
2. TimeZone. I live in CST timezone. The time is always an hour behind if I choose CST, no matter what NTP server I use, or even if I turn NTP off. I have to use EST timezone to get the correct time. Even if I choose "get time from pc", the time is one hour behind my PC time.
3. Under Internet/LAN, VPNSERVER, I have the following error message in RED. If I choose "generate reccommended IP address" it changes to .17.1 and then I lose all connectivity in my network and have to do a factory reset to even allow me to start over. This error message never goes away. The pool is correct. The gateway is correct. This message does not make any sense.
"The LAN side IP address is set to 192.168.11.1.
Therefore, a PC connected to BUFFALO’s router may be unable to access to the PC on the LAN.
The LAN side IP address and DHCP IP address pool should be changed."
I've tried resetting the router several times, starting from scratch, reloading factory firmware, etc., and continue to have all 3 issues above. Is there something I am missing, or does it sound like I have a bad router?
1. What settings are you changing that makes that happen?
2. The time zone setting is only setting the GMT offset, and does not apply to daylight savings time. CDT time is GMT-5. I'll forward a feature request to get DST functions put on the router.
3. Don't worry about that error. That error is only referring to potential issues if you have another Buffalo router on the network with an active DHCP server. I've tested the VPN functionality, and it seems to work fine with the default settings.
When you change the LAN side IP address as with the "Generate recommended IP address" button, it merely changes the LAN side IP address and DHCP settings, so restarting your computer should restore connectivity, since it needs to obtain the new IP address to connect to the router.
I like the "multiple SSIDs" to allow for different levels of security, but I'd like to ability to set up exactly what security type I use for each one. Is it possible to change such things via firmware?
For example, I'd like SSID1 to use WPA2-AES, and a SSID2 to use WPA-TKIP. For now, I can only set up those combo WPA types, but like I said I'd like to be able to specify exactly which type of security there is.
1. I replicated the problem again before this post on a couple common settings. It is not restarting correctly under Internet/Lan ---> LAN when I change the lease period or DHCP address pool. Also under Internet/Lan ---> DHCP lease when assign manual IP addresses to devices on the network. Under AdminConfig when I change the time or date or password or reload my saved .BIN file. Is there a "harder" reset that I can do to the unit to restore to factory settings and start over? I do not recall having these restart problems on the very initial set up of the router when I first took it out of the box. It only started after I kept fooling with the time zone over and over, and persists even after I "Initialize" or "restore" my .bin file.
2. Thank you....I know it's not a big deal, but would be nice in future releases.
3. Very good to know.....I don't really need that function, but the bold red error message had me thinking something wasn't set up correctly.
Thanks a lot for your quick reply, Colin137. I appreciate your support more than I know. And if I'm supposed to be posting these issues/questions in another forum, let me know that as well.
Does anyone know how to configure the WZR-HP-G300NH to offer an english web interface? I received a unit from a partner directly from Japan but am having a very difficult time using this. I have noticed that with other routers from Buffalo, the language can be changed but you need to understand Japanese to do this. Can this be done? Do I need a firmware udpate? I am testing this router for use with GigE Vision cameras.
Thank you in advance,
Have been using this router for a few days now,and am having a problem setting up NAS. On the "share folder" page I don't have the first 4 lines of the screen where you can enter a "share folder name" etc. I only have lines 5 and 6 "Access limit function" and "web access". Usb flash drive I have plugged in is recognized, and I have followed all instuction in downloaded manual for adding a usb device.
All other functions I have used so far seem to be fine, i.e. 4 computers on lan plus 3 laptops using both g and n.,plus set up port forwarding no problem.Thought of resetting router, but don't really want to start fom scratch again!
Anyone?
Cheers............Dyno

Never mind, figured it out myself!
Everyone, sorry my responses took so long.
madmook,
I'll forward your request to our corporate office.
tbosa,
I'm not seeing that issue on our unit. After adjusting those settings, the browser page may not refresh automatically. Close the browser, reopen it, and log back in.
pkozik,
On the main page of the interface, there are three columns. The pulldown box at the bottom of the middle column is the language setting. Select the language you want, and click the button to the right. I'm not sure if this applies to the Japanese firmware, though.
cyberstupid,
Our engineers have not approved Linux NTFS write support to be stable enough for use in our devices. Regardless, I will forward a feature request to our corporate office, but there's no telling if it will be implemented.
Dyno,
The manual has old screenshots of the shared folder settings. I'll let corporate know so they can fix the manual.
tarbob,
Here's how to set up VPN: http://forums.buffalotech.com/buffalo/board/message?board.id=0102&thread.id=1601
pkozik:
I have just bought the same unit in Japan and I can tell you that there's no option to change the interface language to English. It's in Japanese only.
I have setup webaccess on my NAS with dyndns. But how do I access it? I enter the ip : port but nothing shows up.
Thanks for the help!
leadpilot,
Navigate to http://hostname.dyndns.org:9000/ or if you're using HTTPS/SSL, https://hostname.dyndns.org:9000/
Replace hostname.dyndns.org with the hostname you set up on the dyndns.com website, and replace 9000 with the external port number.

Since there is not much on review sites yet does anybody have anythroughput data like this? I have a feeling the WZR-HP-G300NH is goingto blow these numbers sky high but would like to know before I buy whatthe real world results are...
To indirectly answer your question, I can say that throughput data is not published by us because throughputs can vary considerably in apparently similar environments, due to radio interference, humidity, temperature, obstructions, and client wireless cards.
Newby here. We are thinking about installing the WZR-HP-G300NH is our Medical Clinic, but it is our understanding that the units will not talk to each other. In other words, no WDS, and the units cannot be installed to act as repeaters or bridges. Am I correct?
Thanks!
Dr. C.
Sorry, no spam intended. I purposly removed all brand names and links. Was just trying to give an example of type of info looking for.
After 2 days I had no response although other posts were getting response and many others were not so I guess I should of said selective support, sorry.
What I was asking for was clearly stated in my post. I was hoping to hear from some of those that had the unit. And I do not know why the company can not put out some info, yes we all know results may very depending on conditions. And you would think that if the company wanted to get sales and had such a supior product as this that they would send it out and get it reviewed.
I think I am over my 2 cent limit, thx.

That's correct. As of right now, the WZR-HP-G300NH will not support WDS, and will not act as a repeater. If you have an existing wired network in the location, you can set multiple units up as simple Wireless Access Points if you need more than one router's worth of coverage.
Colin137, Could you please address an issue for me? I became a fan of Buffalo routers when I first learned of the inherent capabilities of the WHR-HP-G54. Specifically; WDS support, Internal signal amplification (awesome compared to the competition), and detachable antenna due to the standard rp-sma jack.
While the WZR-HP-G300NH is also an "HP" model, I understand and accept no WDS is currently supported. My major concern and the purpose of this message is regarding the lack of a jack that would allow the attachment of a High-Gain Directional Beam antenna. This one feature currently allows me to beam my home network signal to an out building that is over 4 miles Line-Of-Site from home base.
Using the WHR-HP-G54 at home base with a .5 watt pen type signal booster connected to a 29db directional parabolic grid antenna, I am able to project a near flawless signal connection to my target location. At the target location, I can and have used either the WLI-TX4-G54HP Ethernet Converter or the WHR-HP-G54 Router (in WDS mode). Since WDS isn't currently supported I would have to use an Ethernet Converter which apparently is still going to be the WLI-TX4-G54HP since the new WLI-TX4-AG300N also isn't equipped with a jack for the attachment of an external antenna.
Bottom line is that the new generation of products currently aren't an option for my application mainly because of the absence of support for using optional high-gain external and directional antennas.
This is not an issue with the WZR-HP-G300NH specifically, it appliesto all of our Nfiniti wireless devices. IEEE 802.11n technology relieson MIMO (Multiple-Input, Multiple-Output) antenna technology. Thismakes connecting external antennas much more difficult than with802.11b/g, hence there is no provision on the Nfiniti devices forexternal antennas.
MIMO technology relies on multipleantennas and multipath communication. Instead of the single antennarequired by B/G wireless devices, N devices need at least 2 transmitand 2 receive antennas.
WZR-HP-G300NH uses a 3x3:3 antenna (3 Tx, 3 Rx, 3 Streams)
WLI-TX4-AG300N uses a 2x3:2 antenna (2 Tx, 3 Rx, 2 Streams)
Anumber of the older B/G products had support for external antennasbecause they only require a single antenna. A point-to-point beamwireless connection using parabolic antennas would be EXTREMELYirritating to set up, as you would need multiple parabolic dishes, onefor each antenna. Pushing multiple antennas through one dish would becomplicated, and would not provide effective multipath communication, thus reducing the performance down to around G speeds anyway. TheWHR-HP-G54 is much better suited to long-range links requiring attachedantennas.
Colin137 wrote:The WHR-HP-G54 is much better suited to long-range links requiring attached antennas.
Thank you! I appreciate the detail you went to in addressing the issue. I think flat panel antennas could be adapted/engineered to satisfy the MIMO requirements but would also require reengineering connectors and cabling as well. The market may not yet be ready to support the expense.
I wish Buffalo hadn't stopped manufacturing the WLI-TX4-G54HP Ethernet Converter as I much prefer using it over another WHR-HP-G54 router in WDS configuration.
The router (unfortunately) continuously broadcasts a lockable WiFi signal (even with SSID broadcast disabled) which is why I had to stop using that kind of set-up. At my target location, such signals are prohibited due to the other sensitive equipment also in use.
The WLI-TX4-G54HP Ethernet Converter fits the bill perfectly there but now there's no way to replace or upgrade the target side of the connection using a Buffalo solution. What to do?
Colin137 wrote:The WHR-HP-G54 is much better suited to long-range links requiring attached antennas.
Colin, I was hoping you could suggest a suitable replacement for the WLI-TX4-G54HP Ethernet Converter since the new generation of nfinity products doesn't have removable antennae. It's the removable antenna that gave the previous generation it's versatility in deployment. I need the built in four port switch as well.
The Ethernet converter is Ideal for applications where you have multiple wired clients that need access to a wireless network without also broadcasting it's own access signal. Buffalo shouldn't have stopped making it. I don't know of any other off-the-shelf product that does what the WLI-TX4-G54HP Ethernet Converter did. Do you?
cyberstupid,
That's pretty odd... have you tried changing the channel and SSID?
tmGlobal,
I'm not really familiar with other vendors' products. I know that you can still find the WLI-TX4-G54HP at some etailers... try google shopping search.
Also, when using 2 WHR-HP-G54 routers in WDS mode, you can set WDS to Enable in WDS Dedicated Mode. This prohibits wireless clients from connecting, so it makes the two routers into sort of a point-to-point wireless bridge between the two networks
Colin137, my channel is set on AUTO, I have all 3 SSID accounts set. still have to restarted once a week.
Hey guys, sorry to ask such a basic question, but I have been waiting for a Buffalo N router for a while and I was wondering if it has the feature to forward from one port to a specfic IP and another port. Basically if I want to remote into a specific IP, I remote Mydomain.com:5900 and that forwards to PC1:5900 and MyDomain.com:5901 would forward to PC2:5900 and so on. Most routers will forward a specific port only to a specific computer and the same port, but I need a specific computer and a different port. I love my old WBR-G54 but it seems to be dying, so I'm looking for a replacement.
Thanx,
Sean
You can specifiy the Internet side port and the LAN side port,
here's a screenshot from the WHR-G300N:
I just picked one of these up and have a couple of questions...
1) I want to be able to forward a range of ports to an attached VOIP ATA, but it's configuration seems to only allow single port forwarding. Am I missing something......how do you configure a range of ports to be forwarded?
2) The VPN passthrough tab has PPTP and L2TP, but no IPSec. Will IPSec work?

I've downloaded the WZR-HP-G300NH manual and am a bit concerned.
Where did you find the manual?I can't find the device at http://www.buffalo-technology.com/support/downloads/ so...
Glad that you figure it out? Could you tell me how? I have same problems.
Thanks
I’m new and I just joined (today) because I’m thinking about buying this one. a few questions if you don’t mind.

Dyno wrote:Have been using this router for a few days now,and am having a problem setting up NAS.

I have same issue, would you please tell me how to fix it?
Thanks in advance!
HD_Ride,
You can spoof the WAN MAC address. You can set simple access restrictions on the attached drive. You can just configure it manually through http://192.168.11.1/. It should work fine with other vendors' adapters, but as the 802.11n Draft spec has not been finalized, interoperability is not guaranteed. Finally, there is no option to schedule the wifi.

Colin,
Thanks for the reply back, I'll have to research the device a little further....
Thanks again!

Why does my router config look different from the screen shots you posted? I just bought my 300NH this week. I don't have tabs named "Internet/LAN" nor "Security".
ALso, my LAN Config tab has only 1 sub-tab named "MOvie Engine". It doesn't have most of the tabs that were on your screen shots: Port Forwarding, DMZ, UPnP, or QoS.
Do I have an out-dated firmware version? My version is 1.60

Is the switch on the router set to On, Off, or Auto?
I changed the switch to the "on" position, and now I get the same options as were shown in the screen captures. However, my throughput has dropped to substantially less than it was before.
Any thoughts on why?
Hey Dyno! How about sharing what you figured out for yourself regarding the missing first 4 lines on the NAS "share folder" page? I seem to be missing them too.
