It looks like Buffalo will not provide a firmware compatible with Lion, this is really a shame for a 2 TB NAS storage...Anyway, as Lion supports smb ( Windows sharing), i've disabled appletalk and mac support in every share using the web interface, and kept them viewable with the windows share support. I now can list, write, delete the files/folders throught Lion. The only issue i've encountered is that the LS named in Finder Share list aren't working until i've connected to them via Finder/Go To... Server. This happens once per startup and the process can be speeded up by adding the following line to the previous Finder command :
smb://LinkstationUserName:Password@LinkstationNetworkNameOrIpAdress
I assume this also can be scripted and autolaunched at logon.??
