Newbie - trying to see and use USB attached device

I recently purchased a Buffalo Technology LinkStation Pro 2.0TB to backup and use files from two different computers. Since my new computer is running Windows 7, which does not sync a Palm T/X via cradle and I can't get it to sync via bluetooth or WiFi I thought I could attach the Palm via USB to the LinkStation and see the info on the Palm that way, but I can't see it. Am I doing something wrong or will it now work this way?

It will not work this way. The USB ports on the back are for external hard drives only formated in FAT32, XFS and on the Newer units can read from NTFS.
