LS-CHL-V2 Difficulty Updating Firmware

Hi All

 

I've done a lot of trawling on these forums but still can't crack this problem.

 

The device is LS-CHL-V2... and has a firmware version of 1.21 so I assume it takes the later versions of Firmware.  I have downloaded and extracted 1.37 and run LSUpdater.

 

Despite being able to access the LinkStation through Windows Explorer and also the web browser; I always get the message "linkstation that needs updating wasn't found".

 

I have turned off the Firewalls, and also tried again having booted in safe mode with networking (wireless).  I'm using Windows 7.  I haven't used the native browsing tool as I know this ties up the ports needed for the update.

 

Does anyone have any tips?
