LS-CH500L: CAN I FORMAT IT DIRECTLY BY USING WINDOWS VISTA?
« on: November 09, 2011, 03:53:24 AM »

My LS-CH500L is not recognized by the NAS Navigator after firmware updating failure. It only blinks (red) six times.

I want to format the driver disk by using directly Windows. can i do it? My LS-CH500L has no "function button.

Please help me!

The unit is in the linux  format. By reformating the drive you will not be able to use the drive at all in the enclosure. Did you try to boot the unit in EM Mode?

Thank you for your reply.

The problem is that my LS-CH500L has no "function button". The button which is there can only blink (six times in red) and has no other function behind. So, i can't use this button. there are some others ways to solve my problem?

Thank you brian_nathaniel! I am very happy for your reply.

I tried to open the enclosure, it seem that the function button has no contact with the integrated electronic card. I think i am faced with an imitation.

Please, can you tell me how to rebuild the divice table or formating it by using Unix or other application?

are there others ways to solve my problem?
