I want to hook up a yagi or other high gain antenna to a wireless repeater in my RV and then connect my laptop and iPhone wirelessly via the repeater.
The repeater needs to work on b/g/n wireless networks.
I obviously can't reconfigure the wireless gear located at the RV campgrounds in order to connect to it, so I assume WDS features are useless to me because they require mac addresses to be configured on all endpoints.
Will the WHR-HP-G300N device work as I intend?
Can I connect an external directional antenna (such as the yagi buffalo offers) to one of the two antenna ports on that device and leave the other omni antenna connected so my laptops/iPhones can connect from within the RV?
Would I have to download new firmware into that device to make it work as intended?
