LS-V2.0TL Regarding supported video formats.
« on: February 18, 2011, 05:49:46 PM »

I just go the unit and have been playing with it.  Previously, I used "PlayOn" as my media server.  PlayOn supported .mkv files and also would show a movie picture on the video when browsing if you had an image with the same name of the video in the same folder.  The LS-2.0TL does not seem to be able to do either of these options.

Is it possible to play .mkv files and does this media server support any kind of images that link to movies or media data?

Nevermind on the .mkv.  I just renamed the extention to .mpg.

I would like to know if I can add an image preview to the video file when viewing it though.

How are you viewing your files? I gather probably through an Xbox or Playstation? If so, the problme lies in the Media Server software that is in the Linkstations. They have a very old version of Twonky which does not support the Album Art funtion.
