software shutdown of LS-W1.0TGL/R1 V3 Firmware 3.09

Hi

I am running the linkstation in auto mode, it comes up due NASNavigator installed on the clients. Is there a way to shutdown the linkstation by software (some firmwares seem to have a shutdown option in the web admin software, mine does not )

 

Sometimes the linkstation runs at night when nobody needs it and the noise is disturbing me.

sorry mate thats not what I want...

I KNOW it shuts down once the client is turned off, I want to know how to shut down the link station WITHOUT SHUTING THE PC DOWN

 

My idea is: some process on the running pc is keeping the linkstation up, can i kill that process and the linkstation shuts down ? once i restart that process does the link station come up again ?

I think the service automatically recovers if terminated.

so.. apart from a funny cartoon and the FAQs (which I checked) I have learned nothing new...

 

Is there really no way to shutdown the netdrive by a software command ?

There is not, there is only a reboot option in the web admin page for the unit, but no shutdown command

if a shutdown does not work, is there at least a way to supress the "wake up" command ?

found out how to turn it off: there is a service called NAS Pm service, started automatically, you switch that service off and tatata.... LinkStation goes to sleep
