Best way to copy 400GB of data.
« on: March 03, 2012, 08:12:44 AM »

Hi - hoping someone can provide an answer to this. I have a 2TB LS-WXL running the latest firmware and connected to my ADSL switch. My desktop PC (Windows 7 32bit) is using a wireless connection and I want to transfer around 400GB of data to the Link Station. When I started this just by dragging / dropping folders in Explorer it was copying at around 2MBs which meant it was going to take a VERY long time to do this.

Anyone got a better way to do this?

Thanks in advance.

Actually just seen a post from rickjames8 that suggest connecting the HDD to the USB by way of a caddy I guess and then defining a backup via the web interface is the quickest way to do this ... I'll take a look at that option.
