torrent client not work with magnet link

I've tried again and no luck. Obviously missing something and probably very obvious. However, I wonder if my version of Linkstation version 1, blue background  (firmware 1.12) might have something to do with it. 

Hi, I've got a LS-CHL v1 too, and magnet links don't work.

 

When I paste a magnet link in the URL textbox and press the download button I get the message "Invalid URL".

 

Can it be related to the version of our LS-CHL?

 

Is there any user with a v1 LS-CHL (menus in blue style) with working magnet links?

Mine still does not work. I contacted Buffalo directl and they said it should work.... but, it does not! I've tried pasting and uploading and changing the hash and still no luck.

The easiest way is to use Firefox with BitTorren WebUI+.

It automaticly dowloads torrent or magneturl to the Bittorrent client with just one klick.

No more opening of client an copy/paste url:s.

I have used it for almost a year and never had any problems.

Simply the best firefox add on.

Magnet links are not supported by our Web UI, but I will try what Nixitch is suggesting.

I'm also using the bittorent client from a Linkstation tera-something.

 

I just tried using webUI, the firefox plugin as explained in the thread,

but it just won't work.

 

It seems that WebUI "thinks" that the bittorrent the web interface is at http://IPaddress:8080/gui/ when it is reachable (in my case) at http://IPaddress:8080...

 

Can someone help about that ?

You have to change the ip adress in seetings. Check my previous post. I have uploaded a picture of my settings.

Of course I've got to change the IP address to match my own NAS address,

and of course I already looked at your settings...

 

BUT the plug'in wants to connect to a "/gui/" directory which does'nt exist,

even if I put only http://IP address:port number" in the settings...

 

That's why I searched the internet, found this forum, and asked the question !

When i open my my torrent clients webui in firefox at the adress http://192.168.0.14:9090, it becomes http://192.168.0.14:9090/gui/ in the adress bar. Nothing wrong with that. But the firefox addon connects to the ip you setup in settings. Thats why i thoght you have missed it. So in this case i cannot explain your problem.

but for some reason, it seems there is no "/gui/" directory on my own Linkstation...

Maybe firmware update? I have 1.54 but are updating right now to 1.57..
