torrent client not work with magnet link

As we know , torrent client of the LinkStation LIve not work with magnet link. 

PirateBay (biggest torrent tracker) planning to stop torrent files and will provide only magnet links.

Is there plans to fix torrent client on the our storages ? and when if have plans ?

hey, don't know what/if some thing changed, but magnets are working on my nas !!!

 

from pb, just right click the magnet link, copy link location then paste it into the torrent url box when you select 'add torrent'.

 

this is using firefox and my link station with latest fw.

I have a LS-CHL. Just out of interest which Buffalo model do you have? I've tried your suggestion and no luck. I can download with BitTorrent while my PC is on, but would obviously prefer to get my Buffalo up and running again. I fear however that this model of Buffalo will probably not be supported any longer.

When I try to copy the link I get something like this though..

i've got an ls-chl too.

 

when i copy a magnet, i get this:- magnet:?xt=urn:btih:00112ea801fed081a496cfce36ac0a7c1366989b&dn=Repo+Man+1984+720p+BRRip+x264+vice&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.openbittorrent.com%3A80&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.publicbt.com%3A80&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.ccc.de%3A80

 

i paste it into the torrent url section, leave the cookies box blank and hit upload & bingo, after a few sec's it loads and starts the dl.

 

when i first tried this a few weeks back, the torrent loaded, but just wouldn't connect to any seeds/peers, so no download.

 

i really don't know what/if anything has changed, but as of a week or so ago, it started working ?!?!?

Is your LS-CHL still downloading torrents? I had a look at my buffalo torrent download page and there is no cookies box on mine. Heyho... anyone know of a NAS that supports magnet link?

It is work. There is two ways:

1. If you use tracker WITH username/password - you should copy magnetic link AND your cockie. The cockie is part of your own ID. Should find it somwhere in your personal profile page

2. If you use trecker WITHOUT username/password like ThePirateBay - you should copy ONLY magnetic link.

 

That is it.

I can confirm that it works on the LS-CHL (I have tried before and am sure that it did not work).

Thanks for the replies everyone.

I've tried again and no luck. Obviously missing something and probably very obvious. However, I wonder if my version of Linkstation version 1, blue background  (firmware 1.12) might have something to do with it. 

I've tried copying the magent link URL into the download manager and it's not accepted. I have also added the torrent from file and although it appears as a torrent it does not download. 

It would be interesting to know what versionsof buffalo LS CHL  you guys have and if that makes a difference.

I have LS-CH1.5TL.

 

I try copying the magnet link and pasting the link to the Buffalo Utorrent manager.

 

Nothing comes up. I am copying the link from pirate bay.

Might be because mine is the LS-CH2.0TL version
