Windows 7 NAS not showing in Explorer
« on: August 04, 2010, 12:17:57 PM »

I have a problem under windows 7 I can map folders from my NAS, but neither drive show up under NETWORK. The mapped folders do show up under COMPUTER.

This was not the case under Vista both drives showed up under Network. The NAS are (2) LinkStation Gigabits (LS-GL)

You may have to set your network style to a home network to see the unit. Plus any anti virus software or firewall could block you from seeing the unit. You also have to set your network to discover items. But mappipng the drive like you did is allways the best method of conenction.

Identical problem with a LS-WX1.0TL/1D - LinkStation™ Duo - LS-WXL/R1

started after firmware 1.57 update

can map drive and browse with ip address but the nas will no be discovered in the betwork and does not show up in NETWORK
