I have a Linkstation Live connected to a network with both Mac's and Windows machines. I have an external USB hard drive connected to the Linkstation. The firmware was 2.03 and I just upgraded it to 2.11
I created a backup job backing up a folder on the Linkstation drive onto the USB drive. According to the web interface, it is still running (on its second day), even though I have shut down and restarted the Linkstation. I've even updated the firmware! But nothing so far has stopped the backup, at least according to the web interface.
I also created two other similar backup jobs for other folders, and they ran and completed successfully.
My guess, based on digging around, is that the problematic folder has file names with path names that are too long, and this is causing the backup to hang. I can live with that limitation, but shouldn't there be a way to terminate the backup or shouldn't it give up? What do I do?
