I ONLY signed up for tihs thread so I could respond to a thread post but the way the sign up process works I can't find the tread. Plus a lot of work just to post something ..
Anyway, someone was trying connect a Buffalo AriStation with a Linksys .. I got it to go in about 5 minutes, but my linksys is running DD-WRT which may have helped.
1> Linksys running DD-WRT, working as a wireless AP, tested and working well using Channel 1. No security. (192.168.1.0 subnet)
2> put the mac address and SSID of buffalo in the WDS section of Linksys.
3> turned on buffalo, went to setup, setup wireless, open, and selected WDS AP. Set the channel to 1.
4> put the MAC address of the Linksys in the WDS section of buffalo.
5> Set the ipaddres to 192.168.1.100, turned off dhcp server
6> applied settings and it worked. logged into the linksys page 192.168.1.1 the DDWRT shows signal strength of 50% for WDS client.
