Flashing blue light continuously

Hello,

I have Link Station Live 2Tb (LS-CHL4E4 / Firmware version: 1.37)

Accessing this from my windows xp And Android phone.

 

I had for a month now. It worked well now, but for the last week, its behaving very erratically.

 

It started flashing the blue light (power indicator, not function light) continuously. It went for a day but no sign of stopping. While this goes on, I can't access this on my PC, NAVI can't see the link station. When I set the power button in off mode, it still goes on in the flashing blue light mode, no sign of powering off ever after hours.

So I switched the power off And on again. Now I can see the link station And access the folders from my PC. But most of the folders not shown anymore through UpNP. After say half hour, the flashing blue light starts again. And the linkstation can't be found through NAVI or UpNP

but I can ping to it from my pc.

I can't see any red/amber lights at all.

 

not sure if I should follow the EM/TFTP procedures...

 

Any help is very much appreciated.

See if a default restore solves the issue

 

-Go into the web interface

-Click on System

-Click "Restore/Initialize"

-Click "Restore Linkstation"

Thanks Sethz, that seemed to have done the trick.

 

will see tonight if its not going to fail again and accept it as solution.
