I have just configurated a weekly backup job from my Linkstation LS-WX2.0TL/R1 to a Western Digital USB drive. I hoped that if the specified day and time passed by without the drive connected, it would go into some kind of "backup pending" mode and it would be caught up as soon as i connect the drive. To my surprise, i get "error" in the status column. Is there a way to catch up a backup without doing everything manually?
Btw, the firmware of the Linkstation is 1.24.

OK, I just found out that the manual says that if the backup fails, I have to reactivate it manually. It also says that it will make the next scheduled backup automatically if I check the "Ignore Errors and Proceed with Backup" box. What I want is that a "missed" backup catches up as soon as I connect the USB drive.
I would post that in the Idea Exchange Lounge. And I would also update your firmware.
