Hello. Am having trouble with LS410D NAS. Can someone please tell me what a solid amber LED means? Thanks.
-
It just means a new firmware is available for it. You can update it via the Management tab of the admin page.
-
Thanks. I just tried the update and got 'Failed to perform their job". Update failed.
-
Are you having any other issues with the NAS apart from updating the firmware? What version is currently installed?
-
Yes. Got email error messages last night: 'DISK Error Notification/HDD error occurred/Disk(s) the error occurred:"Disk1"/Disk cannot be mounted.'
Have been getting network disconnects, but could usually recover by rebooting the NAS. Now when I reboot, Power LED flashes white for long time, then get solid amber. When I tried to do FW upgrade, got 'Failed to perform their job' error. When I tried to check disk using IP/Advanced/Drives/Drives/Check Disk, got the same error message. Is the NAS toast?
Thanks.

Forgot to mention. FW is 1.34. Also, after initialization/reboot, solid amber on Power LED and no light on Function LED.
-
More info. I just ran another 'Check Disk' and it completed successfully. But I still cannot connect to network.
-
After reboot, have a solid white Power LED, no Function LED, but still cannot map the drive (Windows cannot access //LS410...). I can PING the NAS.
-
Navigator now says device is in Emergency Mode and to either upgrade FW or call TS. I cannot connect to IP through browser, so how do I upgrade FW?.
-
Is the data needed? Do you have a backup? Looks like the internal disk has failed.

I've got backup up until last week. I'm doing a FW upgrade to 1.84, but I'm not sure it'll complete okay. The reboot is taking forever.
