: USB disc on WZR-HP-G300NH
: mpracer January 09, 2010, 09:43:25 AM

I have a WZR-HP-G300NH router and I'm very satisfied of this product. Now I tried to connect a 250 MB USB disk but, unlucly, it seems I cannot use it since I cannot see the disk or, when I can see the FAT32 formatted disk it stop the bittorrent download after a while with the message disk is full.

PLease do I have to use some special disk in terms of dimension or formatting.

I'museing windows 7 64bit .

Thanks in advance

I believe that this is only recognize a physical hard drive properly, so if that 250MB USB storage device your using is a "Flash Drive" it uses flash memory and wont be recognized the same.

Official supported drives may be limited, but I am using 8GB USB flash drive. It works fine. But, I think only the first partition of the first driver can be shared.

If you are downloading more than 125MB file, it will stop due to disk full since Buffalo's torrent implementation requires twice as much as the file size. It looks that it creates two same files, one for network sharing and the other for torrent download/upload. You may try downloading a small file to see if it works.
