My new data recovery software [Stellar Phoenix] will not find the HDD in my Buffalo NAS via My Computer.  I know there are recoverable files on the NAS.

Is there a way of a getting networked HDD in the NAS to show up in My Computer [Win XP SP3] so they can be recovered?  I've tried adding a shortcut for the NAS in My Computer, from My Network, the shortcut couldn't be added to My Computer.

The only solution I can think of is to remove the drives and put them on the [computer's] SATA bus so they can be read via the [f---ing] My Computer.

Is there another solution?

Tech Support for the data recovery software says there is no way for network drives to show up in My Computer.  The drives must be physically attached to the HDD bus in the host computer.
