Do I have to use the switch cable with Buffalo JustStore (1tb) external hard drive? I usually just remove that drive "safely" from Windows and then take the adapter out of the jack without turning the switch cable off. Can I unmount the switch cable from the drive and use it without the switch cable, like with the old models, which didn't have a switch cable? It's not easy to turn the switch on/off, because the working space is so narrow. The consumption of power is not a problem, because I always take the adapter out of the jack after using it.
