HD-CE1 0TY2-A3 Connection Issues

Hey, i have bought the "HD-CE1 0TY2-A3" a couple of months ago and ive just noticed a connection issue with it? if i try to copy a file off the hdd it copies a bit of the file then loses connection?

Which OS are you using and have you updated the OS since you have installed this device?  What kind of files are they or is it a random thing?  Run it through a disk check and see if it comes up with any error's or anything.

I running windows 7 professional and it has been running it since i installed the device. it doesnt seem to happen with all files although it does happen with all types of file for example some music files and some image files ".iso" do not copy over it just keeps saying the source disk has been removed or something like that.

Are the files larger than 4gbs?  What format is the drive in?

The file on the hdd that i am trying to copy is 7.6gb although i have copied larger files to and from the drive... also music files about 3mb do the same thing.. the drive format is NTFS

I would pull the data off and delete the partition and reformat the unit again.  There could be file corruption starting.

thats the thing the file i need to copy i cannot copy off there.... and i dont want to lose it :(

We provide minor support in data recovery, but if wiping out the unit is the only way to access it then I would recommend enlisting the services of a data recovery facility if the data is of that much importance.
