RAID is not a replacement for a backup! Here's why.
Hi,
I bought a Buffalo HD-PEU2 ministation last year and it works fine with my office notebook win xp pro sp2.
But when I plug it in my personal notebook win xp home sp2, it does not detect. (Only power light is on.)
(Does it need any software requirement, etc.)
Appreciate your help.
Thanks in advance.
Are you plugging in both USB cables? Makes sure the notebook it plugged into an outlet, not running off of the battery.
Yes, the notebook is using power from the outlet, not from battery.
Here's more detail explanation:
Win will give a ballon message "USB Device Not Recognized."
In detail:
Device Status - Unknown Device
Not connected (code 45)
- No driver loaded
I'm having the same error and it's making me crazy. My files are all there!
Buffalo tech support, please help.
Kinglion23... I need to know your exact model number, what the operating system is of the computer that you are using. Are you using both of the USB cables?
The issue is sounding like the device driver on the second PC has either failed to install, or install properly. Can you provide an exact model number please?
I agree with the driver issue. Go to Device Manager, right click on the prolem device, go to details tab, select the Hardware lds option in Property, then copy past the value into google and it will help you find exact driver.
hope that helps.
