Burned out after 1 night?
« on: September 28, 2010, 08:52:09 AM »

Got my WHR-HP-G300N last night. Pulled my Linksys WRT54GS, which has been a trooper for about 3 or 4 years. I got the 300N plugged in, and it immediately connected. Turned my Alienware laptop on, and logged right into the admin panel on the router. Set it all up in a few minutes. Perfect product!

This morning the 300N has no power. All lights dead. I unplugged and replugged the power. Nothing. I switched the router switch from On to Auto, nothing. Switched it back. Nothing. Is this thing a dud? I already have to RMA the ASUS PCI-E adapter I bought for my desktop back to newegg. I guess I can RMA this too. Seems like hardware just doesn't perform like it used to 5 years ago.

Plugged my old linksys back in. It fired right up, and kept on truckin.

less than 30 days after purchase - return to retailer for a new one.
